From May 5 to 9, 2025, the Institute of Environmental Engineering had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Lesya Vovk from the Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Systems at Lviv Polytechnic National University. Dr. Vovk visited as part of a staff mobility (STA) under the Erasmus+ program. During her stay, she delivered a series of lectures focusing on modern solutions for stormwater management in urban environments. Her presentations covered topics such as the modeling of drainage systems, technologies for rainwater harvesting and reuse, and sustainable approaches to the design and management of water and sewage infrastructure. Dr. Vovk specializes in water and environmental engineering, with particular emphasis on urban drainage systems and the adaptation of cities to climate change.
As part of her visit, Dr. Vovk also met with staff and students of the Institute, providing an excellent opportunity for scientific exchange and discussions on potential future collaboration in research and education.
