Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics

Room 2, building A-12

The Fluid Mechanics Laboratory provides a hardware and station base for conducting didactic classes in the field of fluid mechanics in environmental engineering and energy. The didactic profile of the laboratory is correlated with the subject of lectures, projects and laboratory exercises.

The laboratory is equipped with the following test benches for:\

  • Fluid viscosity tests on Höppler viscometer
  • Measurement of the linear loss coefficient during laminar flow and application of Hagen-Poiseuille's law
  • Research and visualization of the Bernoullie equation in the flow of liquids in closed wires
  • Visualization of operation and study of hydrodynamic parameters in the Pelton and Francis turbine
  • Determination of the local loss coefficient of air flow in a curved pipeline
  • Visualization and study of energy loss parameters in liquid flows
  • Determination of the local loss coefficient of air flow in a curved pipeline
  • Gauges of a vascular manometer with inclined tube
  • Determining the characteristics of the orifice
  • Determination of the free flux

Measuring:

  • GUNT
  • 9
  • GUNT HM 150.07
  • GUNT HM 150.20
  • GUNT HM. 150.19
  • Höppler viscometer
  • inclined tube vascular manometer and Askania compensation manometer
