Room 014, 015 building A-12


Laboratory of Biology, Microbiology and Toxicology consists of rooms 014, 015, 015A and 015B.

Room 014 is used to conduct laboratory classes in the field of biology and ecology, microbiology, toxicology, phytosociology, hydrobiology, as well as assessment of activated sludge performance in the wastewater treatment process, mycotic hazard assessment in buildings and microbiological assessment of indoor air quality. The room is equipped with didactic and research stations. These stations are equipped with microscopes as shown below.

The laboratory is equipped with the following didactic and research stations:
• Stand for observation and identification of microorganisms,
• Stand for observation and identification of objects in stereoscopic technology,
• Stand for observation and spatial visualization of microorganisms.

Measuring:
• OLYMPUS SZX7 stereoscopic microscope with visualization software
• OPTA-TECH MK 358 diagnostic microscope
• Stereoscopic diagnostic microscope OPTA-TECH SK 392
• Motic B1 Series diagnostic microscope x 2 pcs
• Motic B3 Professional diagnostic microscope with digital camera
• EDUOKO ME-244 r microscope with the possibility of visualization on a TV set
• Nikon Eclipse E200 microscope with digital camera

Room 015 is equipped with stations for toxicological and microbiological tests. In addition, in room 015A there is a laminar chamber for performing microbiological cultures in sterile conditions. Room 015 B has stations for breeding indicator organisms used for toxicological tests.

The laboratory is equipped with the following test benches:
• Toxicological test benches,
• Microbiological culture station,
• Stand for incubation and isolation of microorganisms,
• Stand for counting units forming colonies,
• Stand for the preparation of microbiological substrates,
• Stand for utilization of biological material.

Measuring:
• MAS-100 ECO air sampler for microbiological analysis for petri dishes
• MJX-150 BIII incubation chamber with UV lamp and ultrasonic nebulizer

• Laminar chamber with horizontal airflow
• Shaker, universal platform AS 130.1
• Incubators C 100 g WAMED
• Sterilizer SP 150 W WAMED
• Koch apparatus for pasteurization and tyndalization
