SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES
  • He has scientific and practical knowledge in the field of sanitary networks and installations. Research interests are related to broadly defined thermal energy, heating, ventilation, as well as the possibilities of implementing computer simulation and artificial intelligence methods (artificial neural networks, fuzzy algorithms, neural expert systems) to solve issues of optimisation of energy sources, including renewable energy sources, district heating systems, and energy analysis of buildings. Research interests include issues of optimisation of energy management in settlement units, with particular emphasis on dispersed energy generation, the use of combined heat and power production and renewable energy sources. Current research work is focused on the optimisation of energy management, as well as seeking methods to improve the energy efficiency of buildings, networks and installations, as well as equipment and technologies, while reducing emissions and increasing their efficiency. Author or co-author of over 110 Polish and foreign publications, co-author and scientific editor of two monographs. Contractor and manager of scientific projects financed from NCBiR, EU and other funds.
