The scope of the research work conducted relates to the technology of treating water intended for human consumption, with particular emphasis on the removal of iron compounds and organic matter fractions. The research is aimed at determining factors influencing the removal of organo-iron compounds and precursors of oxidation and disinfection by-products from water abstracted for water supply purposes, as well as optimisation of the unit processes used for this purpose, with particular emphasis on the coagulation process.
EXECUTIVE SUBJECTS: chemistry, water treatment, environmental data analysis methods, air quality monitoring.
