The scope of ongoing research work concerns: formation processes, soil characteristics and functionality of urban, industrial, communication, post-military and post-mining areas (SUITMA), element circulation mechanisms, waste as the parent rock materials of soils, reclamation of urban and post-industrial areas, management of reclaimed land, sustainable development of urban areas, including landscaped green areas, environmental conditions of spatial planning, degradation of urban areas and possibilities of their protection, fertilisation and soil fertilisation technologies, including using waste materials.
