About Discipline Council
In accordance with JM Rector of the University of Zielona Góra No. 78 dated October 15, 2019, pursuant to Article 23 (1) and (2) of the Law of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and § 47 (1) and (2) of the Articles of Association of the University of Zielona Góra, the Council of the Discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy was established.
The tasks of the Council include the implementation of the statutory powers, in particular, including:
- conducting proceedings before the Council for the awarding of doctoral degrees in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and power engineering within the scope of the powers held by the UZ,
- conducting nostrification proceedings for the doctoral degree,
- carrying out activities related to education in the doctoral school, and above all, substantive supervision of education, including approval to act as a promoter and naming members of the commission conducting periodic evaluations of doctoral students,
- defining within the discipline the directions of development, plans including the definition of research strategies,
- initiative in personnel policy (i.e., among other things, recruitment, hiring, evaluation, promotion) of research and research and teaching staff,
- distribution of financial resources in the discipline for the conduct of scientific research by employees and doctoral students.
