Environmental engineering - II degree studies

II degree studies of general academic profile are conducted in the formula of full-time and extramural, last 3 semesters (1.5 years) and end with the defense of the diploma thesis and the diploma exam. Graduating from the second-degree studies, the graduate obtains the title of Master of Engineering.

Second-degree studies are carried out in two specialties to choose from: Sanitary Engineering or Renewable Energy. Classes are conducted in the form of lectures, projects, laboratories, exercises and seminars.

Profile of a graduate

Graduates of the master's degree program are prepared to independently perform tasks in the design of systems, technologies and equipment for the transportation and treatment of water and wastewater, the disposal and management of municipal and industrial waste, the solution of problems of water and wastewater management in industrial plants, and the planning and operation of regional and local environmental protection systems. Graduates, in addition to the basic skills of methodology of design, construction and operation of environmental protection equipment, for a variety of needs and at different scales, have a broad knowledge of other fields of science and technology that have a significant impact on the development of modern sanitary engineering, the state of the environment and the living conditions of society.
The didactic program of studies includes subjects that should provide the graduate with a general university education, systematized knowledge of engineering and environmental protection, as well as extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in the chosen specialty. The study also aims to develop teamwork, social communication skills, develop entrepreneurship and responsibility.
